A native of San Francisco, Mary's first exposure to this industry was actually as an industrial catering truck driver and server in 1973.
From 1978-1982 Mary was the Assistant Catering Manager at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco. From 1982-1985 she was the Catering Coordinator at the Hyatt Burlingame. From 1985-1987 Mary was the Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Donatello Hotel in San Francisco and liaison of restaurant operations. From 1987-1991 she was Assistant to the General Manager of the Marriott Fisherman's Wharf, directly responsible for all guest relations. Mary has been with BU since 1992.
